Supporting promising and talented junior golfers and helping them to reach their potential are key ambitions for our organisations and we rely on a team of dedicated volunteers to achieve this.
We aim to develop golfers who will excel at both junior and adult level and to attain our goal we need more volunteers to enhance our current events, competitions and other opportunities.
If you are passionate about how sport can benefit young peoples lives and have a little spare time we’d love to hear from you. Our organisations are volunteer led and getting involved represents a chance to work with like minded people supporting golf in the Northumberland.

"Volunteering with our team is both rewarding and enjoyable. Helping to develop talented players and raise the profile of our sport is very satisfying.
I’ve been all over the country with the NUGC and England Golf, watched some really good golf and made some very good friends in the process.
If you’re thinking about volunteering, come along and have a cup of copy coffee and a chat with us.
Walk the course with some of the guys and see what it’s all about".
Danny Finlay, NUGC
"I enjoy meeting people in my role. With the juniors you get to see very young golfers playing with high handicaps coming through to single figures. It’s very satisfying watching their progress as golfers and young people".
Candy Brown, NLCGA
"We need volunteers for everything that we do including helping junior players progress, both boys and girls".
Ian Harrison, NUGC
"I love to see the players progress and achieve the success which they are having now. We have great fun at our events, and to me that is so important for young players".
Norma Jones, NLCGA
