Seniors Autumn Texas Scramble – The Northumberland

The final event of 5 NUGC Senior Opens for 2024 was held at the Northumberland GC on the 7th October 2024.

We would like to thank Northumberland GC and their staff for their usual very kind support to all golfers and officials on the day. We also look forward to returning there for a further Seniors Texas Scramble on Monday 6th October 2025.

The weather today started a little damp but ended up perfect, calm and a very bright day. The course was in superb condition. Congratulations to the golf club and the greens staff.

We received and appreciated kind comments from many participants and teams as to how they had very much enjoyed the organisation and their day. Many indicating that they fully intended to enter all the Senior Opens next year.

A field of 22 teams entered the competition.

A big thanks to the Seniors Committee for running the event and the NUGC President Paul Brennan, who came along to support the event.

The prize winners were :-

1st – Kim Steward / Allan Southern / Stephen Lishman / Ron Pessara ; 62 – 6.2 = 55.8

2nd – Kevin Kay / Ian Clough / Glen Jones / George Elliott ; 67 – 10.9 = 56.1

3rd – David Archibald / Ian Stoke / Michael Tate / John Wright ; 60 – 3.8 = 56.2
