Affiliated with England Golf, the NUGC manages course measurements and slope ratings for its member clubs and serves as the local authority on the R&A Rules of Golf and Handicapping.

County Championship Qualifying
Matfen Hall kindly hosted the qualifying for the County Championship on Saturday 29 June, the course was presented in excellent condition and we were looked after very well, a huge thanks to Nicola and her Golf team and Keith and the Hotel staff, your help is greatly appreciated by all

Northumberland Seniors travelled to Astbury GC in Cheshire for the first of 3 consecutive away matches on the road. Considering Astbury GC had been closed 2 days previously due to flooding of the fairways and greens the course was in excellent condition. There were wet patches in places but the
