After a tough opening 2 matches, the Juniors were looking to bounce back against Cumbria at Westerhope. The morning session did not go to plan, where we trailed 1.5 to 3.5 going into lunch, however a fantastic afternoon comeback performance saw us run out 8.5 to 6.5 winners. The Northumberland County Seniors team travelled to Otley GC in Yorkshire yesterday for a very tough Northern Counties Seniors league fixture. Otley GC was immaculately presented with a very challenging 5 hole start. Their hospitality and catering on the day was first class. The weather was excellent and the match was played in a fair breeze with very warm sunshine.

Northumberland Seniors travelled to Astbury GC in Cheshire for the first of 3 consecutive away matches on the road. Considering Astbury GC had been closed 2 days previously due to flooding of the fairways and greens the course was in excellent condition. There were wet patches in places but the greens played well.
