County Salver& Forster Cup – 26 July 2025 -Prudhoe Golf Club

A great day at an immaculately turned out Prudhoe Golf Club where they hosted the County Salver & Forster Cup.

The players were treated to some excellent greens, rolling a really nice pace.

On to the County Salver, where it was back to back victories for Longhirst Hall Golf Course player Steve Macari, who despite bogeys on the last 2 holes had a comfortable victory.

🥈 Darren Brewis – Prudhoe – nett 68
🥉 Phil Didsbury – Blyth – nett 69

Best gross- Paul Armstrong Tyneside – 72

*Paul was awarded the Best Gross as it was a better prize than 2nd place (only 1 prize per player)

The Forster Cup was a hugely tight affair, with Home players dominating – in the end it was Mens Captain, Scott Fothergill who eased home with 39 points – winning by 1 from fellow Prudhoe Michael Soderquest, who came second by virtue of a better back 9 from Linden Hall player Gerard Wynn.
