A warm but wet day greeted the Players at the magnificently conditioned Hexham Golf Club, where we held the 1st and 2nd Division Teams Championship.
Due to dropouts and Clubs being unable to enter a Team, there was no relegation from the 1st Division.
The 2nd Division title was won at a canter by Newcastle United, who were represented by Michael Burrow, Cameron Stott and Mark Wharton, they carded an impressive 2 over par total of 212. An excellent 67 by Mark Wharton was good enough to win the Division 2 best gross.
Promoted from the 2nd Division were, Newcastle United, Arcot Hall, Longhirst Hall and Prudhoe, well done to all.
In the 36-hole 1st Division. It was home favourites Hexham who held a 4-shot lead going into the 2nd round, with the City of Newcastle, holding on to second place.
The weather turned in the afternoon with the scoring getting higher, with the exception of County Champion Cameron Twynholm, who carded a best of the day 65.
The eventual winners were The Northumberland, represented by Andrew Griffiths, Duncan Ross and Harrison Sewell, winning on countback, with a better back 18, from the Hexham trio of Junior Dobson, Sean Heads and Daniel Twizell,
They now go on to represent Northumberland at the National finals at the Oaks Golf Club, Yorkshire, in September. We wish them well.
Individual honours go to the County Captain Andrew Minnikin with a 6 under par 36-hole total of 134, with rounds of 66 and 68.

A final thanks to Hexham Golf Club, their course was presented immaculately, huge credit to the Greens Team. The hospitality was also excellent- we really appreciate it.
