Northumberland Seniors travelled to Astbury GC in Cheshire for the first of 3 consecutive away matches on the road. Considering Astbury GC had been closed 2 days previously due to flooding of the fairways and greens the course was in excellent condition. There were wet patches in places but the greens played well. Finally the weather was on our side as we travelled to Alnmouth Village for the Inter County foursomes finals. We were greeted with a day of bright sunshine on an immaculately presented course.
