Today, Whitley Bay hosted the first Northern Counties Junior fixture, where we entertained Yorkshire.

A topsy turvy foursomes session, where we really had our backs against the wall changed quickly with the last 2 games ending in victories for Northumberland, meaning we went into the afternoon singles 3-2 down.

A fast start was required in the singles, this duly happened, with 3 wins from the first 5 matches, setting up a tense finish, with the win being guaranteed by an Ollie Drake birdie on the 18th.

A special mention to Ben Brown and Cameron Twynholm, both making their county debuts today and both picking up maximum points.
