Dramatic end to Teams Championship

Hexham retain the Division one Teams Championship on count back from Newcastle United.

After the 2 rounds, Newcastle United and Hexham were tied on +4 but Hexham won and retained the trophy they won last year with a better 2nd round and Hexham now progress to the national finals at Lilly Brook GC in September.

Best Gross score for 1st division was Mark Wharton from Newcastle United with rounds of 68 -73 for 141.

Best gross for 2nd division was Craig Penny from Newbiggin GC with a 70.

Winners of the second division were Longhirst Hall who beat Dunstanburgh Castle by 1 shot. Dunstanburgh Castle won the best net.

Teams relegated from division 1 were Goswick, Whitley Bay, Seahouses & Morpeth.

Teams promoted from division 2 were, Longhirst Hall, Dunstanburgh Castle, Blyth and Newbiggin.
