In the Northumberland tie, it was a 1 up victory for Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course who booked the their place in the final with a solid performance.

Due to a prior arrangements Dave Baker was unable to play the afternoon final, and was replaced by Andrew Graham, who joined Martin Carss in the Dunstanburgh team.

It was Dunstanburgh who dominated the early exchanges, racing to a 4 up lead after 9 holes, it was a lead they did not surrender, eventually running out as 4&2 winners, lifting the title for the first time in their history, well done lads.

All were competitive matches, played in the right spirit – it’s great to see.

A big thank you to all the Clubs and their supporters who helped make today a great event.

A big shout to Mick Kelly, Durham Secretary and their Executive who were a great help in the run up to and on the day of today’s event.  A final thanks to the Village who once again excelled with the golf course and their hospitality.
